Whilst reports and audits fulfil known needs, ad-hoc requests require a different approach. Query interfaces create sub-sets of data by applying selection criteria to the record fields. The resulting tables can be exported to other applications or manipulated by the user.

User Requirements: To capture the dynamic relationship between new patients, those finishing therapy or lost to follow up, and department workload / composition in both the short and long term. Identify individual patients exceeding user defined investigation intervals and dose levels. Produce patient lists with start and finish profiles and a summary of dosing throughout treatment life. Show the same data for disease cohorts by year.
Run against individual clinics.
User Requirements: To produce a printed report identifying patients eligibility for funding. Display prognosis indicators for all patients categorised by diagnosis highlighting those which “fail” specified criterion values. Indicate agreed exception classes allowing otherwise “failing” patients to continue treatment and produce summary statistics for the clinic as a whole. The report should include all currently treated patients on a specified date and allow users to add non-standard exceptions and comments.

Exceptions and Comments choices change according to the patient’s diagnosis. A predefined hierarchy identifies which to apply.
Exceptions and Comments added by the user change the status of one or more of the Official Indicators and update the reports.
