Canada adopts WHO growth standards

[2010-02-08] With the growing focus on optimal growth patterns in pre-school children, and obesity concerns in 5-18 year olds, leading Canadian national health groups are to replace U.S. CDC charts with WHO based versions. Following the UK adoption of WHO standards in 2009, confirming the increasing popularity of this growth reference set, PC PAL will shortly launch an electronic version in the new UK chart format. 

First ever Growth chart postage stamp

[2009-12-12] As a part of the seasonal festivities, PC PAL have commissioned the world’s first ever postage stamp that depicts a growth chart. This limited issue item can be found on our client mailings during the Christmas period.

GrowthXP contract with Florida DOH

[2009-12-09] As part of an on-going electronic records implementation initiative, the Children’s Medical Services section of the Florida Department of Health has purchased a multi-user license for PC PAL’s auxological data entry, calculation, and charting application GrowthXP.

GrowthXP, Heidelberg University Hospital

heidelberg[2009-11-05] PC PAL today released GrowthXP version 1.5 for use at the Heidelberg University Hospital, Germany.

This is our first production release of GrowthXP fully adapted to the German market, complete with German national charts as well as several disease specific references;

The software will be used in the entire pediatric hospital, and across the different pediatric specialities. At the hospital GrowthXP Pro Viewer has been completely integrated into their Electronic Medical Record ISH Med, a SAP based information system following a tight collaboration between the hospital IT department and PC PAL.

GrowthXP is now available in US, German, Swedish and Norwegian versions, and development is ongoing for UK, French, Belgian, Dutch and Danish versions to be released in the first half of 2010.

Siemens Annual User Group Meeting

[2009-09-25] This week PC PAL exhibited at Siemens annual User Group meeting in Stenungsund, Sweden. The focus of this meeting was to promote the dialogue between developers and users of Siemens' electronic medical records Melior and Obstetrix.

Siemens, Melior contract for VGR

[2009-08-19] Siemens Healthcare have purchased rights to integrate PC PAL’s Growth Chart Component into their flagship electronic medical record Melior. The hospitals of the Västra Götalandsregionen (VGR) in Sweden, will be the first to have a full range of interactive national charts available to all of their 30,000 staff as an integral function of Melior.

Swedish Trade Council relationship strengthened

[2009-06-04 ] Following the recent joint foray in Canada, PC PAL are to meet with Swedish Trade Commissioner Magnus Andersson to discuss strategies and further initiatives for this emerging market.

New GrowthXP contract with HelseVest, Bergen, Norway

[2009-05-04] Success in the Nordic markets continues with major health system developer, HelseVest, licensing GrowthXP to handle the auxological and charting requirements of their paediatric department.

New Project Coordinator added to team

[2009-03-23] Fredrik Lundberg is a most welcome addition to our project coordination team. Vastly experienced in all aspects of networking, communications and validation techniques he is a graduate of the University of Kalmar and fully Cisco certified. His tasks will include formalizing user requirements, task lists and coordinating validation activities on projects within the Outcome Survey Department.

GrowthXP updated with new Norwegian charts

[2009-02-12] PC PAL announces the immediate availability of the new generation of Norwegian growth charts. These are available to all Norwegian users of GrowthXP and extend the existing original chart range which will be retained for reference and comparison.

New growth charts for Norway

[2009-02-12] A new generation of Norwegian growth charts, for height, weight and BMI have been published replacing the current charts which were implemented 30 years ago. With the current focus on childhood obesity, the introduction of Norwegian BMI charts is a timely addition to the range. The new charts were developed by Dr Juliusson and Dr Bjeknes et al and utilise data from the Bergen Growth Study.
